Body MRI Screening
A preventive Body MRI provides high-resolution, non-invasive imaging of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis to evaluate multiple organ systems and identify potentially significant abnormalities before clinical symptoms develop. These exams do not require a provider referral, are self-pay at the time of service and cannot be submitted to insurance.
Potential findings include:
- Solid organ masses and neoplasms
- Pulmonary nodules
- Aortic aneurysms
- Hepatic steatosis (fatty liver)
- Renal, adrenal, pancreatic, and splenic abnormalities
- Hepatobiliary and genitourinary pathology
- Other clinically significant incidental findings

Please note: Preventive MRI screening is intended for early detection and risk assessment. It does not replace diagnostic imaging, routine medical care, physician evaluation, or established guideline-recommended screening examinations (such as mammography, colonoscopy, cervical cancer screening, or low-dose CT lung cancer screening for eligible individuals).
Add-On Spine MRI Screening $200.00
A screening Spine MRI provides detailed imaging of the vertebral column to identify potentially significant and clinically occult abnormalities.
Possible findings include:
- Spinal neoplasms
- Demyelinating lesions
- Other structural abnormalities
Add-On Prostate MRI Screening $500.00
Prostate MRI screening evaluates the prostate gland for occult lesions and may identify findings suspicious for prostate cancer before clinical symptoms develop.
Brain MRI Screening $500
A Brain MRI provides detailed evaluation of the brain and intracranial structures without the use of ionizing radiation.
Potential findings include:
- Intracranial neoplasms
- Chronic ischemic changes
- Prior cerebral infarcts (strokes)
- Intracranial cysts
- White matter abnormalities
- Other structural intracranial pathology
Please note: While screening MRI may identify asymptomatic abnormalities, it is not intended to exclude all neurologic disease or replace evaluation of patients with neurologic symptoms.
Add-On Brain & Neck MRA Screening $200
Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) of the brain and neck provides detailed imaging of the arteries supplying the brain and neck.
Potential findings include:
- Cerebral aneurysms
- Vascular malformations
- Other significant vascular abnormalities
Low-Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening $300
In addition to preventive MRI services, MDI offers Low-Dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) Lung Cancer Screening.
Using advanced multidetector CT technology and a low-radiation-dose protocol, LDCT provides high-resolution imaging of the lungs and mediastinum to detect pulmonary nodules and early-stage lung cancer in appropriate candidates.
Potential findings include:
- Pulmonary nodules
- Early-stage lung cancer
- Emphysema
- Thoracic aortic aneurysm
- Coronary artery calcification
- Chronic interstitial lung abnormalities
- Other clinically significant thoracic findings
Eligibility for LDCT lung cancer screening should be determined in consultation with your healthcare provider and based on current screening guidelines.
Results
After your scan, our radiologists will analyze the images and provide you and/or your physician with a detailed report.
No order is required for these screening exams, however we do encourage you to provide primary physician information to share your results with. The screening exams are self-pay services due at time of check in. This payment cannot be submitted to insurance for any reason.
